About Us

The team at Family and Separation Support are highly skilled and experienced professionals that deliver an all in one solution service based on early intervention, mediation, financial and legal advice. We also provide emotional and practical support for separated parents and children to help alleviate the trauma and stress that separation can often cause.

Our confidential service tailored to the individual needs of families as well as the child-centred approach means a much more useful service can be given which has positive results for separated families. We believe that by providing opportunities which allows co-parenting and a positive environment for the child to grow in, enables them to be well-balanced, healthy and emotionally stable.

We adopt a three-tier approach which comprises of a variety of systems including early intervention, family retreats as well as legal advice. We also work in partnership with parental alienation groups to help reduce the child’s hostility towards one parent which is not justified but, is due to psychological manipulation by the other parent.

FSS unique and innovative service which supports separated families in the UK offers a transparent, trusted, honest service which is second to none.

Manifesto

Family and Separation Support will be providing an all in one solution based early intervention, mediation, financial and legal advice service. Due to a large increase in court applications, the Family Court, CAFCASS and Social Services have stated that they need to find an alternative to Family Court.

Family and Separation Support aims to provide a solution that provides emotional and practical support for families, separated parents and children. Research shows that separated services are not as successful and fails many families because of their disjointed working. FSS however, takes a collaborative approach when it comes to separated families. This all in one service is more effective and efficient and will give better results to separated families.

We provide a three-tier programme to cover relationships which includes early intervention, mediation, parenting programmes and we provide legal advice and support too. FSS will help reduce court applications by giving longer term emotional and practical support which in turn will help to alleviate the trauma and stress that the parent and children go through at family court. Furthermore, by providing opportunities which allows parents to communicate together leads to a much more positive environment for the child, their health and well-being.

Currently many family services hold no records or statistical information on the outcome of families and children who receive their support so no one really knows if the information or advice they are given is working. In addition, once court orders have been issued, no follow up appointments or support is given which then results in parents having to go through the court process again and again if these agreements fail.

FSS will be providing its own statistical information and will share the outcomes of families with governmental policy makers. Repeated court visits will also be avoided as we offer ongoing support to ensure that parents can be involved in decision making and take some responsibility about the future of their families instead of it being decided by a third party.

Provided there are no safeguarding issues, which will be identified by collaborative working within our organisation, FSS can reduce the damage and trauma to children and separated families and potentially decrease the suicide rate of parents. So instead of parents having to make contact with different agencies which leads them to become frustrated and anxious with the constant delays, our system will be more holistic and solution oriented as personal information is kept in-house and a quick, positive outcome which benefits the whole family is can be attained.

  • Transparency – we as an organisation will be fully transparent about our operations and financing.
  • Accountability – we will be fully accountable for the work we do and the support we provide to our clients.

  • Responsive – we will endeavour to be approachable, respond to clients’ needs and adapt to every situation with professionalism.
  • Innovative – we will be using technology at the forefront of our organisation to work smarter and more efficiently.
  • Evidenced – all of our work will be evidence based to provide the best outcomes for families and everyone involved.
